The library offers print and electronic course readings to support instruction and research.

Print Reserves

Books and DVDs are placed on reserve at the library’s front desk at the request of faculty and removed at the end of each academic semester. Loan periods are set by instructors as 3-, 24-, or 72-hours. E-book versions of course texts can be accessed from the catalog (linked above), if available.

For Faculty

Faculty may submit requests for print or e-books that are used as required or recommended readings to be placed on reserve. Please allow one week for processing of reserve requests, especially in the first two weeks of each semester.

  • Copyright and fair use guidelines for photocopying, scanning, classroom handouts, and course reserves.
  • Library staff can provide limited scanning assistance, based on staff availability.
  • E-books, where available, will be prioritized for purchase, unless specified otherwise.
  • Personal copies of required readings can be placed on reserve for a semester.
