Papercut - Managing Your Account

PaperCut is a system used to track printing and copying, charge students for their print/copy jobs, as well as provide data for printer management and planning.  This article explains how Middlebury and MIIS students use the PaperCut system to view their printing account balance, see recent printing activity, and perform other basic tasks.

 

Logging In

Use the appropriate link for your campus: 

To log in, users should provide their full email address and password.

The account summary page appears, along with a menu to perform specific tasks:

PaperCut Menu Options

Summary

Displays a summary of your print job history, including current balance, a graph of your balance over time, total print jobs sent, and number of pages printed.

 

Redeem Card

This service is no longer in use; you will need use this tab.

 

Transaction History

Displays your balance history in detail.  You can review how, when, and why your balance was affected.

 

Recent Print Jobs

Lists recent print jobs in sequential order and includes the document’s name, number of pages, printer used, date and time, as well as the cost.

 

Jobs Pending Release

Allows you to:

  • see the cost of a job before releasing it
  • view print jobs in your queue
  • cancel print jobs
 

Web Print

Web Print is not recommended; please use Mobility Print or print from a public or lab computer instead. If you are unable to use Mobility Print and cannot go to a public computer, this option is available with limited functionality to submit jobs to the public printing queues.

Logging Out

Remember to protect your account and personal information by logging out after you are done. Do this by clicking your account name (top right), then choosing Log out.
